Lynda Crumpler

LUCAMA – Lynda Fay Proctor Crumpler, 77, died Saturday, September 4, 2021.

Funeral, Tuesday, 7:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, conducted by Revs. Faye Jones and Tony Hawley, with a time of visiting and sharing an hour before the funeral.  Burial, Lamm-Proctor Family Cemetery, Wednesday, 2:00 PM.

Lynda was a spirited lady who enjoyed her rose garden of 65 bushes, azalea bushes which her late sister, Jo, helped her to start which she continued, and her vegetable garden.  She loved Lamms Grove Church and her entire family very much.

Surviving is her special sister, friend and caregiver, Judy Jones of the home; brothers, Lennis Proctor (Edna) of Lucama, Elton Proctor (Lou Ann) and Bobby Proctor, all of Wilson; sister-in-law, Dosie Proctor; special niece and caregiver, Myra Basinger (Mark) whom she loved like a daughter; nieces, Debbie Proctor (Steve), Kim Denton, Carolyn Johnson, Cathy Braswell (Glenn), Renee Etheridge (Terry), Brittany Smith and Deborah Jones; nephews, Al Proctor (Stephanie), Justin Whitley, Garrett Jones, Jordan Jones (Natalie); several great nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Alvin Anderson and Lossie Florence Hawley Proctor; sisters, Josephine Jones and Earlene Ferrell; brothers, Gene, Rudolph and Reese Proctor; niece, JoAnn Whitley; nephew, Danny Jones.

Special thanks is extended in addition to Judy and Myra was her niece, Kim; Hospice of Wilson and the Wilson Medical Center Third Floor Staff.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Lamms Grove Church Building Fund, PO Box 220, Lucama, NC 27851-0220.
