Candy Willis Robbins, 61, of Lucama, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, in her home.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 1:00 PM, at Black Creek Cemetery with Pastor Gainus Sikes officiating.
She was a retired accountant for the State of North Carolina and was an active member of the Black Creek United Methodist Church.
Candy’s light shone brightest through her love for God and her daughter Andrea. She overflowed with compassion and love for others. She inspired all who knew her to be a better person. Candy will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Surviving is her daughter, Andrea Robbins; brothers, Stevie Smith (Teresa) of Wilson and Jeff Carter (Debbie) of TX; nephews, Charlie Bailey (Cassie), Matt Bailey (Anne Marie), and John Smith (Casey); niece, Necie Jones; great-nephews and nieces, and special longtime friends, Karen Keene of Kinston and Anita Turnage Jones of Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her mother Daphne Rose Willis; father, Ben Carter and sister, Pamela Bailey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Purrfect Cats Rescue, PO Box 3047, Wilson, NC 27895 or to Black Creek United Methodist Church, PO Box 278, Black Creek NC 27813.
