WILSON - Wyndham Kerr "Windy" Barnes, 82, of Wilson, died Friday, December 14, 2012.
Funeral, Sunday, 4:00 PM, St. Timothy's Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wade Dupree Barnes in June, 2008.
Wyndham was retired from BB&T and First Wilson Properties. During her retirement years she exhibited a passion for tutoring and building a playground for the children at St. Mark's/La Guadalupana.
She was active in St. Timothy's Episcopal Church serving as a Sunday school teacher, Senior Warden and Lay Eucharist Minister. She served on the Flower Guild, the search committee, was a chalice bearer and leader of the confirmation class.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Barnes Wrenn of Wilson: granddaughters, Martha Wade Wrenn Chaires (Jorge) of Greensboro, Katherine Wrenn Brunt (Matt) of Annapolis, MD: Emily Preston Eubanks (Todd) of Redding, CT: great-grandchildren, Robert Michael and Ellen Kerr Shurman, Wade Davis and Henry Preston Eubanks.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Carolina Arizpe, Martha Arizpe, Theresa Artis, and Amy Barfield.
