WILSON - William Widmire Lewis, 78, died Monday, July 21, 2008. William, a native of Eureka, was educated at ACC and ECU in the field of education. He was a teacher, coach and principal at different times at Eureka, Lee Woodard and Beddingfield schools. He was honored to serve a term in the House of Representatives in the General Assembly. For his country, he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Funeral, Wednesday, 11 AM, Daniels Chapel FWB Church. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont. Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Sarah Tart Lewis: sons, Clay Lewis (Gail) of Wilson and Jim Lewis (Debbie) of Lucama: grandchildren, Tracy Galeazzi (Joey), Greg and Alex Lewis: niece, Vicky Lane of Goldsboro and nephew, Chuck Lane of Eureka. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Tuesday, 7 - 8:00 PM.
