My Obit
I guess it's unusual for someone to write their own obituary, but I hate all the inaccuracy and amplification that's written. So here are the facts.
I was born March 1, 1923, the youngest child of five children of Nell Sugg and Edwin Homer Anderson in Wilson, North Carolina.
I was educated in the public schools of Washington, D.C. where our family had moved in 1929. I graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington in June of 1942 and then attended N. C. State College in 1942-43, receiving a certificate in Engineering Science Management. In my later years, I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BLS degree. In addition, I completed 12 courses as part of my career with the Army Missile Command.
My career was as a civilian employee of the Dept. of Army Ordnance Corps rising to management level assigned in a staff office of the Commanding General as a Special Assistant and Division Chief. I retired after 25 years service from Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama.
I married Virginia Adkins of Wilson N.C. and was happily in love and married for over fifty years at the time I am writing this in 2001. I have three children, all of whom are the greatest achievement of my life on this earth. They are William T. Anderson, Jr. of Roswell, Ga., Susan Hall of Orlando, Fl. and Elizabeth Ellsworth of Roswell, Ga. They are my greatest and most pleasurable achievement besides my marriage to "Gita".
I am an avid golfer and club maker and I hope I have a tee time in heaven or hell, which ever one I am assigned to, with my old golfing partners of a lifetime who are all dead and waiting on the first tee for me, I hope..........Thanks for being kind to me!
