KENLY - Walter Calvin Parnell, 63, of the Buckhorn community, died Friday, December 11, 2009.
He had owned the former W.C.'s Auto Service on Green St in Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Leon and Beulah Long Parnell.
Funeral, Tuesday, 11:00, Wilson Memorial Service. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Griffin Parnell; son, Chris Parnell (Laura) of Myrtle Beach, SC; granddaughter, Liz Parnell of Myrtle Beach, SC; step-grandsons, Michael Chapman (Lizzy) of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Chris Chapman of Florida; step-great-grandson, Ethan Chapman; sister, Bettie Wood (Earl) of Wilson; brothers, Robert Parnell of Wilson and Donald Parnell (Evelyn) of Lucama and his special puppy, Bambi.
The family will be at the funeral home Monday, 7 - 8:30 PM.
