Virginia Hayes

WILSON - Virginia Skinner Hayes, 85, passed away April 5th at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Funeral, Tuesday, 7 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. The family will be at 1408 Chesnee Drive all other times. Interment, Wednesday, 11 AM, Maplewood Cemetery, Rose Garden.

She was the widow of James Edward Hayes and a daughter of the late Willie and Louise Wooten Skinner. Preceding her also was a grandson, Warren Chadwick Ellis; daughter-in-law, Joyce Vick Hayes; sister, Mary Skinner Wainwright.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Jim Hayes of Newport and Mickey Hayes of Asheville; two daughters, Ginny H. Ellis (Jimmy) and Marilyn H. O'Briant (David), all of Wilson; brother, Frank Skinner of Saratoga; grandchildren, Tracey E. Wiggins of Knoxville, TN, Jamie Ellis of Wilson, Karen E. Bass of Morehead City, David O'Briant, III and Brandon O'Briant of Wilson, Jay Hayes and Jordan Hayes of Newport, Brian Hayes of Wilson, Colton Hayes and Clayton Hayes of Asheville; great-grandchildren, Robert Bass III, Katelyn Bass, Maribelle Virginia Alice Wiggins, Cameron Dae O'Briant, Alex O'Briant, Carter O'Briant, Joshua O'Briant, Carley Hayes, Baylee Jones.
