FREMONT - Virginia Whitehurst Davis, 83, died Monday, December 24, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Lee Davis and was a retired elementary school teacher with 32 years of service. She was a member of the NC Beta Lambda Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma and a member of the Northern Lights Extension Club. She was a faithful member of Fremont United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Funeral, Friday, 11 AM, Fremont United Methodist Church followed by visitation. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Russell Davis and wife, Cynthia, of Chocowinity and Bill Davis of Faro; grandchildren, Russell Davis, III, Sharan Davis, Ashley Davis and Amber Terrell; great-grandsons, Nate Davis and Kane Terrell.
