WILSON - CMSgt William Thomas "Tom" Morris, 84, USAF, Retd, died Monday, January 7, 2013.
Funeral, Saturday, 2 PM, Winstead United Methodist Church, followed by a time of visiting and sharing.
Tom, a native of Wilson County, retired from the Air Force having served in excess of 22 years including two tours of duty in Vietnam. Later, he was a building inspector for the City and County of Wilson. He enjoyed his time with other veterans as a member of the Robert B. Anderson American Legion Post 13.
Surviving is his wife, Sue Plumley Morris; daughter, Monica Calvary Davis (Mike) of Wilmington; son, Greg Morris (Robin) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Jamie Hill, Cassandra Morgan, Amanda Conner and Matthew Morris; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Ford Morris (Mary) of Winterville and Alfred Morris (Dorothy) of Raleigh.
A heartfelt word of thanks is extended to the staff of Countryside Living, Pikeville, for their untiring service.
