Toby Moss

Howell Cobb “Toby” Moss, Jr., 95, of Wilson, died Sunday, October 22, 2023, in his home.

Funeral, Wednesday, 10:00 AM, First Baptist Church, followed by a time of visiting and sharing.   

Surviving are his daughters, Susan M. Shingleton Shackleford (Dan) of Wilson and Betsy M. Jenswold (T.J.) of Elon, Janet Derrick of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Betsie D. Still (Ken) of Canton, GA; grandchildren, Hunter Taylor of Jacksonville, FL; Will Shingleton (Jennifer) of Durham, Rebekah Holloman (Kevin) of Walstonburg, Johnathan Still (Melissa) of Washington, DC, Caroline Iazzi (John) of Cumming, GA, Sarah Still of Athens, GA, Jenna Still-Elizan (Enrico) of Dunwoody, GA, Allyson Still of Duluth, GA, Lindsay Bengston (Matt) of Las Vegas, NV; great-grandchildren, Ginny Shingleton, Lewis Bryce Holloman, Emma Iazzi, Madelyn Iazzi, Makayla Segrest; brother, William “Bill” E. Moss (Patti) of Raleigh; brother-in-law, Robert King (Anne) of Winston Salem and many loving nieces and nephews.

A son of the late Howell C. and Susan Rebekah Eagles Moss of Wilson County, he was the widower of Mary Lovelace Moss and Mary Elizabeth King Moss.

He served in the U.S. Army.  Many will remember him from Camden and Moss Framers-Art Dealer and in sales with Boone’s Antiques, both in Wilson.
