He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Rae Ballance; sister, Kimberly McAlister; “Ma” Lou Ellen Ray (Jerry); father and mother-in-law, Robert “Pop” and Ann Cook; maternal grandmother, Janet Hughes.
Tim worked with The Canvas Shop in Wilson for 34 years. He was a member of the Wilson Loyal Order of Moose where he served on the Board and was the 2024 Moose of the Year. He was a Die-hard Tarheels fan (he bled Carolina Blue). Hobbies include watching NASCAR (said it was better when the Intimidator raced), fishing, and recently started new adventures in camping.
Tim had an infectious laugh and a quick wit. Tim’s idea of a good time was sitting in his “Man Cave” with friends, which included Matthew and his friends. Tim had a giving heart and didn’t expect anything in return. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.
