Thelma Bradbury Barnes, 91, of Wilson, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017.
Funeral, Saturday 12 Noon, Maplewood Cemetery (Old Section), conducted by Rev. Laura Fine-Ledford, a dear family friend and pastor at All Saints' United Methodist Church, Morrisville. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Saturday, 10:30 - 11:30 AM.
She is survived by daughters, Lynn Askew (Phil) and Diane Smith (Marvin) both of Wilson; son, Jimmy Barnes of the home; grandchildren, Dr. Emily Askew (Scott Lovett) of Wilson, Rhonda Godwin (John) of Wilson and Heather Smith Neville (Chad) of Rocky Mount; great-grandchildren, Emma Caroline Godwin, Sam and Addison Pope Lovett .
She was preceded in death by her parents, Malphus Leroy and Maggie Harris Bradbury; son, Donald Ray Barnes; sister, Joan Frances Bradbury and brothers, Earl and Malphus Leroy "Ace" Bradbury.
Memorials are suggested to the Avante Social Activity Fund, 1804 Forest Hills Rd, W, Wilson, NC 27893, to remember those with whom she enjoyed life so much in her final year.
