Teresa Ellis

Teresa Carter Ellis, born on October 1, 1956, departed from this world on November 4, 2023, to reunite with her parents, Doug and Myrtle Carter, and her beloved Cecil, the love of her life whom she always called her consolation prize in the Miss Wilson pageant (where they met).

A graveside service will be held to honor Teresa’s life on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, 11:00 AM, at the Ellis Family Farm, 8801 Aspen Grove Church Rd, Fountain.

Teresa leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by her devoted daughters Erica and husband Kevin of Raleigh and Laura Lee and husband James of Oakland, California. She was the beloved “Bunny” to Smith, Henry, and Ann.

Teresa will be remembered for her remarkable strength, a strong-willed individual who loved an adventure and embodied a never-ending Pollyanna optimism that brightened the lives of those around her.  She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
