Shirley Haynes

Shirley Rodgers Tomlinson Haynes, 85, of Wilson died Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

Funeral, Friday, 10:00 AM, at Rock Hill Cemetery on Lamm Road.  The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Thursday, 6:00 - 7:30 PM.

Mrs. Haynes was a retired teacher at Lucama Elementary School.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Tomlinson and Billy Haynes and sister, Frances Bradshaw.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Kelly (Kenneth) of Wilson; sons, Wade Tomlinson (Carol) and Mark Tomlinson (Lynda) of Wilson; step-daughters, Terry Bimler (John) and Tammy Haynes of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Brooks Barnes (Heather), Dana Batchelor (Jonathan), Nicole Thomas (Scott), Sommer Hilburn (Drew), Britni Godwin (Clint), Alisha Tomlinson, Rebecca Wrenn and Paul Tomlinson (Lindsey); step-grandsons, John Alan Bimler (Lauren), and Nicholas and Zachary Sowell; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Joanne Worrell (James) of Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Home Care and Hospice, 2841 Daisy Ln, Ste E, Wilson NC 27896 or to the charity of one’s choice.
