Sarah Tart Lewis, 87, of Wilson, died Thursday, September 26, 2019.

Funeral, Sunday, 3:00 PM, Daniels Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.  Interment, Elmwood Cemetery, Fremont.  The visitation will be Saturday, 6:30 - 8:00 at Wilson Memorial Service.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” W. Lewis in 2008.  She was a graduate of ACC, Class of 1953, and prior to retirement taught at Lee Woodard and Beddingfield schools.

She is survived by her sons, Clay Lewis (Gail) of Wilson and Jim Lewis (Debbie) of Lucama: grandchildren, Tracy Barnes (Chris) of Wilson, Greg Lewis (Erin) of Winterville and Alex Lewis (Taylor) of Lucama; great-grandchildren, Emily and William; sister, Tillie Oliver of Rosewood.
