Sarah Fleming

WILSON - Sarah Norfleet Harrell Fleming, 83, died at home Wednesday, April 1, 2009. She was born on May 31, 1925, in Wilson County to the late William Norfleet Harrell and Maude Applewhite Harrell. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Hunter Lee Fleming, Jr. She was a lifelong resident of Wilson, but spent the last 20 years enjoying the ocean at her Topsail Beach home. Sarah graduated from Charles L. Coon High School in Wilson and attended Duke University. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, First United Methodist Church, conducted by the Dr. William M. Presnell and the Rev. Daniel P. Jones, followed by visitation in the church courtyard. Amah, as she was affectionately called, is survived by daughters, Norfleet Fleming Herring and husband, Richard, of Wilson
