Rufus Johnson

Lake City, FL - Rufus Sidney Johnny Johnson, 99, formerly of Lucama, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Williams Johnson. Funeral, Saturday, 11:00 AM, Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson, conducted by Dr. De Wayne Eakes. Johnny lived a very blessed life. He was raised in a Christian home in Lucama and remained a faithful servant with Southside Baptist of Lake City, FL. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He was a successful businessman in Washington, D.C. and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He had operated an irrigation business in Pompano Beach, FL before moving to Lake City three years ago. He will be missed by his friends and the following family members
