WILSON - Ruby Myers Davis, 103, died Sunday, June 21, 2009. Mrs. Davis was born in Yadkin County to Noah A. and Amelia Todd Myers and lived in Winston-Salem until relocating to Wilson seven years ago to be near a son. She raised her family in Winston-Salem with her husband of 54 years, Paul Lee Davis, who died in 1989. A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill in 1930 with a degree in education, she taught in Forsyth county schools for more than 30 years. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Davis of Wilson: a sister, Anita Brandon of Yadkinville and a brother, Harrison Myers of Winston-Salem. Funeral, Wednesday, 11 AM, Mineral Springs Baptist Church, 3733 Ogburn Ave, Winston-Salem, followed by interment in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Surviving are sons, Wade Davis (Betty) of Chapel Hill and Henry Davis (Sandra) of Wilson: grandchildren, Amy Timberlake, Paula Bagwell and Noah Davis: four great-grandchildren: sister, Loyce Marklin of Mocksville: brother, Claude Myers of Clemmons. Memorials are suggested to Mineral Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 3733 Ogburn Ave, Winston Salem NC 27105, or to the Todd Davis Scholarship Fund, 4001 Forgotten Pond Ave, Wake Forest NC 27587. of Chapel Hill and Henry Davis
