SWANSBORO - Rosemary Canady Dees, 84, formerly of Fremont, died Thursday, January 3, 2013.
Funeral, Sunday, 3 PM, Elmwood Cemetery, Fremont, followed by visitation.
She was a devoted mother, wife and teacher. She taught High School in Onslow, Wayne, Wilson and Johnston Counties in the 1950's - 1970's. In her later years, she and her husband, Ike, spent several wonderful years managing Ocean Sands Condominiums at Atlantic Beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Amelia Smith Canady, her husband, Isaac Dees, Jr. and brothers, James and Edward Canady.
Surviving loved ones; sons, Isaac Dees, III of Cape Carteret and Thomas Dees, of Swansboro; daughter, Amelia Dees-Killette and husband, David, of Swansboro; sister-in-law, Betty Canady and special first cousin, Anne Shuller and family and other special cousins and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Onslow Memorial Hospital, Continuum Home Care and Hospice and Carolina Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Jacksonville for their love and care within the last weeks.
