WILSON - Robert Earl Parnell, Sr., 66, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015.
Funeral, Saturday, 11 AM, Snow Hill Cemetery, Snow Hill. The visitation will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Friday, 7 - 8:30 PM.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Wade Gooding Parnell; daughter, Melissa G. Taylor and Linda Denise "Nessey" Parnell; and parents, Carl Leon and Beulah Long Parnell and brothers, W.C. Parnell and Donald Parnell.
Robert was retired from the Wilson County Sheriff's Office and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was member of the American Legion.
Surviving is his son, Robert E. Parnell, Jr. (Denise) of Wilson; daughter, Wendy Pipkin (Ralph) of Wilson; grandchildren, Jamie Kennedy (Brad) of Wilson, Chad Taylor of Wilson; great-grandchildren, Ayden & Colbrie Kennedy; sister, Bettie Wood (Earl) of Wilson and special friend, Jean Strickland.
