Robbie Leach

Robbie Weeks Leach, 91, of Huntington, IN, formerly of Wilson, died Saturday, April 2, 2011. Funeral, Saturday, 2 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery. Mrs. Leach was the widow of Robert E. Leach whom she married on April 6, 1943. Mr. Leach died in 1967. Daughter of Robert A. and Annie Britt Weeks, she grew up in Wilson, graduated from Charles L. Coon High School and attended Atlantic Christian College (Barton). She enjoyed being a full-time wife and mother and working in her church, First United Methodist, where she was active in her circle and teaching Sunday School. Following her husband's death, she was employed at James I. Miller Tobacco Company (Imperial) for twelve years. In 1980, she retired to Florida where her daughter, Robbie, lived. She later moved to Huntington, IN, where her daughter, Kitty, lived for her final years. Surviving are daughters, Robbie L. Leech of Hilton Head, SC, and Kitty L. Hahn of Huntington, IN; granddaughters, Ashley, Lindsey, Jamie and Sallie; three great-grandchildren. Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 1423, Wilson, NC 27894.
