Richard Lee Carter, 78, of Wilson died Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

A graveside service will be Saturday, 2:00 PM, at Maplewood Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Kay Trevathan Carter; daughter, Lynn Edwards of Lucama; son, Don W. Edwards (Christa) of Wilson; grandchildren, Christian Edwards, Justin Edwards, Tyler Edwards (Brianna), Joshua Edwards, and Isabella Edwards; sisters, Mary McCarter (Joe) of Nashville, Shirley Hall (Bubba) of Rocky Mount, and Kathy Sloan of Ramseur.

The family will be at the home of Don and Christa Edwards.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 202 Kincaid Ave N, Wilson, NC 27893.
