WILSON - Rev. R. Harry Jordan, 89, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015.
Funeral, Tuesday, 11 AM, West Nash United Methodist Church, 2106 Nash St, N, Wilson. A time of sharing will follow the service. Inurnment will be at 4 PM, Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
Harry was a native of Siler City in Chatham County. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the South Pacific as a Navy radar operator. His education was at High Point University and Duke University Divinity School.
A retired minister in the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, he served pastorates beginning in 1953 in Pembroke (Calvary & Buie), Southport, Roseboro, Murfreesboro, Snow Hill, Nashville, New Bern (Garber), Oxford and Wilson (West Nash) until retirement in 1988.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Jordan of Raleigh; son, Mark Jordan of Raleigh; brother, Wren C. Jordan of Siler City.
Preceding him in death was his wife of 63 years, Frances Weaver Jordan, who died in 2012; parents, H. J. "Tom" and Cara Wrenn Jordan; a brother, James Allen Jordan.

The family will be at home on Monday afternoon and evening.
