WILSON - Reverend Doctor Robert "Bob" Dew Winstead, 75, died Thursday, January 23, 2014, in his home.
Funeral, Saturday, 3 PM, Trinity Baptist Church, followed by interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
Surviving is his wife, Joyce Vick Winstead; daughters, Pam Jones of Jacksonville, Debbie Hood (Lee) of Walkertown, Karen Cook (Steve) of Wilmington; sons, Rob Winstead (Shelly) of Winston-Salem and Jeff Winstead (Angie) of Fort Worth, TX; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Wooten of Wilson, Peggy Stott of Rocky Mount, Louise Brinkley of Fuquay Varina; brother, Wayne Winstead of Knightdale.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Lee and Ethelene Lewis Winstead; brothers, Billy Winstead of Wilson and David Lee Winstead, Jr. of Charlotte.
He graduated from Charles L. Coon High School and Tabernacle Bible Institute in Greenville, SC. He was later awarded an honorary doctorate degree from the same college. A pastor for 43 years, the last 39 being at Trinity Baptist Church where his funeral to commerate his life and to honor God will be held.
Visitation, Friday, 6 - 7:30, in the sanctuary of Trinity Baptist Church.
