Rev. Buddy Sasser

Rev. Eunice S. “Buddy” Sasser Jr, 67, of Selma, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018.

The funeral will be Tuesday, 1:00 PM, Little Rock Free Will Baptist Church, Lucama, conducted by Dr. DeWayne Eakes and Rev. Ray Wells. The family will be in Heritage Hall afterwards.  Burial is at Springhill Church.

Buddy had been pastor of Selma Free Will Baptist Church and an athletic official.

Surviving is his wife, Mary Pamela Parrish Sasser; sons, Jason M. Sasser of the home and Kevin A. Sasser (Raegan) of Clayton;  seven grandchildren, Caleb Sasser, Faith Marie Sasser, Nathan A. Sasser, Michael A. Sasser, Michael Austin Hogan, Jaycob M. Sasser and Peyton M. Sasser (Sissy) and their mother, Christina A. Salamone; sisters, Kitty Barnes (Donnie) of Lucama and Jane Connor of Wilson; aunts, Nell Mitchell and Sue Newcomb (Henry) of Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice and Kathleen McLean Sasser.

Memorials are suggested to Cragmont Assembly, 1233 N. Fork Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711-2598.
