Rachel Kelly

Rachel Sasser Kelly, 78, of Wilson, died Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

Funeral, Friday, 2:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by a time of visiting and sharing.  Burial, Evergreen Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lafayette and Pearl Collins Sasser and brother, Ralph Sasser.

Surviving is her husband of almost 60 years, Glenn C. Kelly; daughter, Sharon Martin (Andy) of Morehead City; son, Michael Kelly (Lori) of Clayton; grandson, Corey Bissette of Whitsett; sister, Faye Davis of Black Creek; special niece, Cindy Godwin (Randy) of Wilson; sister-in-law, Linda B. Sasser of Fremont.

Rachel was a teacher’s assistant before retirement at Vinson-Bynum Elementary and Forest Hills Middle School specializing in helping with exceptional children.  She enjoyed playing basketball in high school and later bowling and playing softball as an adult.

A special thank you is extended to the care team from Hospice of Wilson, who provided loving care to the entire Kelly family though this difficult time.
