BLACK CREEK - Phil M. Barnes, 65, died Friday, August 4, 2017.
Funeral, Tuesday, 6:30 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation. Interment, Wednesday, 10:00 AM, Black Creek Cemetery.
Phil was a retired road maintenance supervisor with the NC Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Barnes, Jr. and Gladys Bass Barnes.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia Bass Barnes; daughters, Amber Barnes (fiancé, Jon Beaman) of Grifton and Jamie Ferrell (Ed) of Winterville; son, Neil Brewer (Drusilla) of Greenville; grandchildren, Vaelin Brewer and Tyler, Kaitlyn, Ethan and Cole Ferrell; brother, Roy Barnes (Bette) of Lucama and special nephews, Eric and Ken Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Black Creek United Methodist Church, PO Box 278, Black Creek, NC 27813-0278.
