Pearson Moore was born April 16, 2001, in Rocky Mount. He grew up on Hermitage Road in Wilson which served as a home for himself and his myriad of friends throughout his life.
Many people are deemed “people persons,” but none so much as Pearson. Pearson loved all people to his core and was someone who never knew a stranger. As a toddler, he would wave and speak to all who passed in the grocery store and frequently start conversations with drive-thru personnel from his car seat in the back of his mother’s white Tahoe.
While he did not always love school academics, he “enjoyed attending for the social aspect,” as his mother would say, and looked forward to seeing his friends each day. He attended Greenfield School, Wells Elementary, Community Christian School, and Elm City Middle School. He graduated from Fike High School in 2019, later attended Wake Technical Community College.
He had many passions in life, especially being outdoors. In his youth, he enjoyed participating in Cub Scouts as well as recreational soccer and basketball with at-home football games in between. He was an avid fisherman as well as an occasional hunter and would go when and wherever he could. A natural-born leader, he could connect the most unlikely of friends and was guaranteed to keep them entertained and laughing in any activity. Pearson was also a profound lover of animals, his favorite being the Moore family cat of sixteen years, K.C. (Kitty Cat), who preceded him in death in 2021.
He is survived by his parents, Paul and Beth Pearson Moore; his older brother and sister, Wright and Elizabeth Moore; paternal grandparents, Paul and Elizabeth Webb Moore; maternal grandparents, Rodney and Rebecca Farmer Pearson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many wonderful friends.
All who were given a chance were truly blessed to know Pearson. He will continue to be deeply loved and deeply missed until we meet again in the presence of the Lord.
