KENLY - Paul D. Holland, 81, passed away at home peacefully on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 surrounded by his family.
Funeral, Thursday, 6:30 PM, Kenly Missionary Baptist Church, 1730 NC Hwy 222 W, Kenly, followed by visitation. Interment, Friday, 11 AM, Kenly Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
After retirement from Atlantic Coastline Railroad, he started Holland Farms with his son, Joey, where he worked until his health declined.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Victoria Atkinson Holland and sisters, Ethel Daffin and Inez Young.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean Baggett Holland; daughter, Paula Wooten (Mike) of Princeton; son, Joey Holland (Janie) of Kenly; grandchildren, April Phillips (Josh), Samantha Tobias (Tim), Michael and Meredith Wooten, Justin Rogerson (Megan) and Janna Rogerson; great-grandchildren, Riley and Kamryn Phillips and Rhett and Evie Kate Rogerson; sisters, Dorothy Watkins (Roger) of Kenly and Shirley Edwards (Junior) of Cary and brother, Preston Holland (Bobbie) of Goldsboro.
