RALEIGH - Patricia Ann Branch Boyette, 79, of Raleigh and formerly of Lucama, died June 25, 2012, following a short battle with cancer.
Funeral, Wednesday, 11 AM, Evergreen Memorial Park.
Pat was a graduate of Lucama High School and East Carolina University. She taught elementary school and special education in Wilson County for 30 years. Following retirement, she lived in Emerald Isle and later Wake Forest before becoming a resident of Brighton Gardens in Raleigh. Through out her life, she played the piano for many worship services, weddings, funerals, parties and social evenTs. At Brighton Gardens she was quite popular for organizing resident sing-along and even a choir. Her lively spirit earned her the nickname, "Speaker of the House." She will be very missed.
Surviving are daughters, Ann Barnes Richardson of Burlington and Drew Barnes Hoover and husband, Charlie, of Wake Forest; granddaughter, Jessica Branch Richardson; step-grandsons, Kevin and Daniel Hoover; brother, William Branch and wife, Sandra, of Morehead City.
The family will be at St. John's Episcopal Church Parish Hall, 830 Durham Rd, Wake Forest, Tuesday, from 7 - 9 PM. They will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr, Wilson, for one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Lucama United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. Joe Stallings, 3204 Brentwood Dr, N, Wilson, NC 27896.
