WILSON - Owen Ethridge, 85, died Friday, May 6, 2016.
Funeral, Monday, 2 PM, Forest Hills Baptist Church, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.
He was retired from the NC Department of Transportation as an engineer and a life member of the Wilson Evening Optimist Club
Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Frances Owens Ethridge; children, Lindsey Ethridge (Lynn), Billy Ethridge (Jane), Joy Davis (Johnnie) and Dennis Ethridge; grandchildren, Blair Ethridge (Allison), Sarah Bolin (Jason), Abbie McKeel (Chris), Susan Pitts (David), Tyler Davis (Paige), Jennifer Caulfield (Brendan) and Clark Ethridge; great-grandchildren, Jay and Caroline Bolin, Savannah and Waylon Ethridge, Ava Lynn Pitts and Mattox and Madi Grace McKeel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Leslie and Georgia Owen Ethridge; brothers, Clark Ethridge and Norman Ethridge and sister, Clara Ethridge Eatmon.
