WILSON - Myrtle Laubert Deans, 87, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Spring Arbor of Wilson.
Funeral, Friday, 11 AM, Maplewood Cemetery. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service one hour prior to the funeral.
She previously resided on Highway 42 West for over 65 years with her husband and best friend, the late C.J. "Corn" Deans. She spent many loving hours by her husband's side helping maintain the family farm and raising two boys. She loved her church, Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist, and when in getter health regularly attended.
She is survived by her sons, C.J. Deans, Jr. of Beaufort, SC and Dennis Deans and wife, Elaine, of Virginia Beach, VA. Myrtle took great delight in her four grandchildren, Angie, Neil, Bryan and Jason, as well has her twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 5235 A NC Hwy 42 W, Wilson, NC 27893 or to Community Hospice, 206 Forest Hills Rd NW, Wilson, NC 27896.
