Myrtle Ashley Harris, 75, of Wilson, died Wednesday, February 3, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Tunstall 'Tunk" Harris in 1999. Myrtle was active in First Christian Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ at local nursing homes and her passion was dancing. She served as past membership chairperson of the Wilson Singles Club. Funeral, Friday, 2 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, conducted by Rev. Joshua Goocey. The family will receive friends following the funeral at the funeral home and other times at 5027 Country Club Drive. Surviving: sons, Mark Harris and Jeffrey Harris (Laura) of Wilson and Dr. Brian Harris (Donna) of Clayton; grandchildren, Ashley Barlow (Nathan), Tiffany, Ryan, Reid, Tyler, Trevor and Jenna Harris; brother, Herbert Ashley of Richmond, VA.
