Arnold Murray Jones, Jr., 58, of Warsaw, died Monday, October 12, 2020.
A family burial, with military honors, will be held at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Goldsboro, on Friday, November 13, 2020. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm, Friday, November 13, 2020 at the Warsaw Fire Department, 714 N. Pine St, Warsaw. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required.
Murray, an Eagle Scout, had a servant's heart as seen by his many years of volunteer service with the Warsaw Fire Department and the Warsaw Rescue Service. A US Army Veteran, Murray proudly served his country as a member of the 2nd Battalion, 7th US Cavalry Regiment "Ghost Battalion" B Troop, the 1/10th Cavalry C Troop 4th Infantry, and received the Expert Infantry Badge. Murray volunteered with the Warsaw Baptist Church Food Distribution Program. He was a diehard Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Orioles fan. We miss him.
Murray was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Jo Cameron Jones.
Murray is survived by his son, Cameron Jones, and his sisters, Jo Carol Jones Torrez (Larry), Shari Jones Stewart (Hank), his nieces and nephew, Elizabeth, Kenan, and Jessie Stewart, and several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
