Mitchell Tippett

Mitchell Craig Tippett, 32, of Wilson, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday, January 22, 11 AM, Peace Church, 2838 Tilghman Rd N, Wilson. Interment, with Navy Honors, will be in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will visit at Peace Church one hour before the service.

He is survived by his parents, Rev. Brian and Kimberly Johnson Tippett; sisters, Jessica Aldridge (Mike) of Wilson and Abigail Haight (David) of Carrollton, VA; fiancée, Rebecca Freiboth of Bremerton, WA; niece, Myla Faith Aldridge of Wilson; grandparents, Horace and Nina Johnson of Leesburg, GA; and grandmother, Dianne Tippett of Nashville, TN.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rev. Bert Tippett, and an uncle, Brian Hampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Peace Church Deacon Fund, Peace Church, 2838 Tilghman Rd N, Wilson NC 27896, or to the American Legion, c/o Clarence Haeflinger, 8226 Springhill Church Rd, Lucama NC 27851.
