WILSON - Mildred Kimbrough Grissom, 92, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015.
Funeral, Friday, 2:00 PM, First Baptist Church, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.
Mrs. Grissom, a native of Texas, came to North Carolina in 1948 to serve in church administration and many other positions until retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Albert W. Grissom; daughters, Jane Wilson (Jack) and Becky Thornton (Michael) of Raleigh, Jeanne Goodman (Jerry) of Stovall; grandchildren, Justin Wilson, David Thornton, Hannah Thornton of Raleigh, Sonya Marie Goodman and Alexandra Goodman of Stovall; sister, Mrs. Carl Anderson of Austin, TX; many beloved nieces and nephews in the Waco, TX, area.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, PO Box 1467, Wilson, NC 27894-1467.
