Michael V. Thorne, 50, a roofer, died Friday, August 26, 2005. He was a son of the late Cleveland V. and Addie Dale Hinnant Thorne. Funeral, Tuesday, 2:00 PM, Springhill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, conducted by Dr. David Whitley. Surviving is a daughter, Mindy Joy Thorne of Wilson: a son, Chris Thorne of Wilson: grandchildren, Christopher Paul Thorne and Diana Lamm: sisters, Nancy Rae Bottoms, Joy Durham and Rhonda Arizpe, all of Wilson, Pamela Cockrell of Rocky Mount: brother, C. Scott Thorne of Wilson: 15 nieces and nephews. The family will be at the home of his sister, Rhonda, at 5518 NC Highway 42 East, Elm City (Gardners School)..
