Melinda Williamson

Melinda Johnson Williamson, 85, of Kenly, died Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Funeral, Friday, 11:00 AM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation. Interment, Rocky Mount Memorial Park.

Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her parents, Ransom and Ruby Johnson and step-mother, Stella Johnson; her first husband, Carl Linwood Moss, who died in 1999; daughter, Patricia Wiley; brother, Artemus Johnson and sister-in-law, Gretchen Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, G.C. Williamson, and his family, Kim, Travis, AJ, and Annaleigh Crocker. Also surviving is her nephew, Ransom Johnson, and nieces, Scarlett Pittman and Christiania Johnson, and their families.

Retiring after 30 years as a drivers license examiner with the NC DMV, Mrs. Williamson then worked as a substitute teacher with the Nash-Rocky Mount school system.
