Mary Ellen Sauls

Mary Ellen Head Sauls, 81, of Eureka, died Thursday, February 27, 2025.

Funeral, Faro Chapel PFWB Church, Sunday. 2:00 PM, followed by a time of visiting and sharing.

Mary Ellen was a lifelong member of Faro Chapel PFWB where she served in many roles including choir leader and Ladies Auxiliary, and never missed Sunday School, even to have a baby. 

Second only to God, Mary Ellen loved her family unconditionally. Mary Ellen truly had a servants heart and devoted her life to taking care of family. She along with her husband of over 57 years, JT, dedicated the last 24 years of their life to caring for their daughter Cheryl’s every need.

Mary Ellen loved softball, being a doting Grandma and especially loved the Christmas season. She looked forward to family gatherings and became a child at heart when hosting and always served with love.

Mary Ellen fought the good fight and kept her faith. Nearing the end of life there were times that she lay quietly in her bed singing a hymn and praying as tears ran down her cheeks. She could always communicate with her Savior who she is rejoicing with now.

Surviving is her husband, J.T. Sauls, daughters, Cheryl Sauls Bass of the home and Carol Gray (Trouble) of Faro; son, Chris Sauls, (Teresa) of Fremont; grandchildren, Michael Bass, Brooke Ellen Sauls, Cassidy Barrow (Tyler), and Tyler Gray (Michelle); great-grandchildren, Caison Kearney, Skyler Gray, Emmett Barrow, Braydance and Gunner Bass; sister, Bonnie Best (Jimmy) of Pikeville; brother, Tim Head (Kim) of Pikeville.
