Wilson - Marvin Leon Walker, Jr., loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008. He was born on June 18, 1928 in Crofton, KY and lived most of his life in Dayton, OH. He retired to Keowee Key, SC in 1990, and relocated to Wilson, NC in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Ruth: daughters, Nancy Mulle (Timothy) of Cleveland, OH and Rebecca Wise (Robert) of Wilson: brother, Don Walker of Ohio, grandchildren, Matthew Wise and Zoe Mulle. Marvin graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in Dayton, OH in 1946. He attended Otterbein College and the University of Dayton. Marvin was a veteran of the Korean War, where he served in Command Headquarters in Hokaido, Japan. He was an employee of Ledex, Inc. for 27 years, including time as Engineering Service Manager and company Information Systems Manager. He formed his own consulting company, Management Innovations, then sold computer hardware for Prime Computer before retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Cincinnati Chapter and president of the Dayton Chapter of the System and Procedures Association and member of the American Management Association. He was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church in Dayton, OH: Salem United Methodist Church, Salem, SC: and recently a member of First United Methodist Church in Wilson, NC. A memorial service will be held for and at the convenience of the family.
