Marrion Avery Blount, of Wilson, passed away November 4, 2018.
Avery will always be remembered for her zest for life, creativity, and sense of humor. Avery was dearly loved by her many friends and most of all her family. Her warm smile and tender heart always lit up the room. Avery was particularly fond of all God’s creatures and she never met a stranger.
Avery was preceded in death by her grandmother, Marrion Christine Webb, who fondly called Avery her #1. She was also preceded in death by her grandfather Judson Hassell Blount, Jr. (Pop Pop), her loving stepfather, Pierre Arnaud Lemaire, and her sweet beloved dog Maggie.
Avery is survived by her mother, Robin W. Lemaire; father, Judson Hassell Blount III; sister Katherine (Kallie) Blount; brothers, Christophe and Stefan Lemaire; her grandparents, Robert G. Webb (Coach), Katherine G. Daughtridge, Catherine H. Blount; and by Joyce Evans, (Miss Joyce), who loved Avery as her own child. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive Avery.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation for the love, compassionate care and support they have received.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at the Lemaire home in Wilson, Thursday, November 8, from 5 to 7 P.M.
A celebration of Avery’s life will be held Friday, November 9 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Wilson County Animal Shelter, 4001 Airport Dr. NW, Wilson, NC 27896 or the McKinnon Fund of First Presbyterian Church of Wilson, PO Box 3184, Wilson, NC 27895-3184
