Marilyn Orr

WILSON - Marilyn Bricely Orr, 85, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016.

A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday 6, 2016, in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and at other times at the home, 207 Brentwood Drive.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, James C. Orr, daughters, Barbara Clark and husband Robert, Cathy Orr Walston, and son, Patrick Orr; granddaughters, Claire and Caroline Clark, Leigh Anne and Lindsey Orr, and grandson, William Walston.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Laura Bricely and her sister, Marjorie Buess.

Marilyn was a wonderful homemaker, an excellent seamstress, a great cook, and a very loving grandmother. As small children, all of the grandchildren especially loved spending the night with her and having her perfect scrambled eggs for breakfast. An Ohio transplant, Marilyn kept much of her northern dialect, much to the great amusement of her grandchildren and her humor was a constant source of joy for her family. She was a humble and giving person all her life and also served her country with a year's service in the US Air Force. She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
