Margaret Stone

Margaret Dement Wester Stone, 81, of Wilson, died Monday, July 1, 2019.

Funeral, Saturday, 12:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, with burial in Bailey Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home Saturday, 10:00 AM-12:00 PM for a time of visiting and sharing.

Margaret worked at the A&P Grocery Store for more than 30 years. She also worked as a CNA, helping and assisting others in need. Up to her very end, she continued to try and help others. She loved her church and her family, and pulling them all together. She always had many, many friends, and was sure to give compliments to everyone she met. Margaret loved going on trips with her sisters and sisters-in-law. She didn’t like staying in one place, and was always in her car going somewhere.

She is survived by her sons, Rickie Wester of Wilson; Tim Wester of Pikeville and Steve Wester of Ayden; grandchildren, Kelley Rodgers (Travis), Megan Lott (Jeremy), Caleb, Taylor and Joshua Wester; great-grandchildren, Colton Cannon, Dylan Rodgers, Bennett Cannon, Maddox Rodgers and Dililah Wester; sisters, Connie Sue Hughes of Graham and Melva Godwin of Virginia Beach, VA; special friends, Dulce Rodriguez, Santiago Arroba, Pablo Arroba, Linda Wester and Janet Garris.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Hugh Glenn Wester, Jr. and Phillip Stone and a brother, Joseph Dement, Jr.

The family is grateful to all the caregivers at The Landing and Parkwood Village.

Family and friends are invited to the home of Travis and Kelley Rodgers after the service.
