Madeline Hester

Madeline Frances Hester, 67, of Wilson, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024 surrounded by family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, October 9, 6:00 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service followed by visitation.

Madeline started her career at First Union, followed by Wachovia (Wells Fargo), and ending her banking career at Truist. She loved her two dogs, Purpose and Maggie Mae. Madeline had a special group of friends who she adored very much. Above all, Madeline loved her family, friends, and being involved in community engagements.

She is survived by her son Bert Allsbrook of the home; sisters, Melissa Hester (Marshall Webb) of Stantonsburg and Susan Peele (Charles) of Asheville; brother, Phil Hester (Karen) of California; grandson, Conner Allsbrook; nieces, Jennifer Peele and Alice McLaughlin; and nephews, J.D. Langley, Chap Hester, Brian Woods, Allen Woods, and Allen Peele.

Madeline was preceded in death by her parents David and Frances Overman Hester.
