Linda Mink Sara, 82, of Wilson, passed away peacefully January 2, 2025.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, January 5, 11:00 am, at Maplewood Cemetery, 400 College St NE, Wilson.
The family will have a memorial service in Charlotte NC, January 11, to celebrate her life.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Kim Wojnowich and husband, Marc; her son, Gregory Sara and his wife, Beryl, and her four granddaughters, Zoe and Taylor Wojnowich and Marnie and Talia Sara.
If you knew Linda, you knew four specific qualities:
Everyone who knew her, knew this.
Linda was known in Wilson as the go to person whenever someone needed new eyeglasses. Wherever she went everyone said Hi Ms. Linda, thank you for helping me pick out these beautiful glasses. And she knew each and every person she had helped.
Later in life as her health declined, she moved to a nursing home to be near her daughter and her family in Charlotte NC.
Linda was known in the nursing home as the “SWEETEST Lady”. She lived almost nine happy years near her family.
Linda’s health declined toward the end, but she passed away peacefully in her sleep.
Her family and everyone in the nursing home will miss her smiles and her warmth. She was a classy, kind, beautiful wife, mother and grandmother with a huge heart.
