Linda Finch

WILSON - Linda Newcomb Finch 67, of Hunting Ridge Rd, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at her home. Up until this day, she lived exclusively for her family and cherished every moment spent with them. She was magnificent wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to everyone she came in contact with. She was very proud of the closeness her family experienced and of the love that flowed through her home daily. She will be truly be missed by all. Mrs. Finch was a daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Newcomb of Wilson. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Bud Newcomb, Al Newcomb, J.C. Newcomb and Frank Newcomb. Funeral, Wednesday, 11 AM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, conducted by Rev. Larry Ball. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery. Loving memories of Linda Finch are cherished by her huband, Franklin "Dock" Finch of the home; three children, Lynn Gurgone and husband, Dennis, of Wilson; sons, Art Finch and wife, Lori, of Wilson and Greg Finch and wife, April, of Nashville; grandchildren, Brittney Finch, Cody Finch, Jacob Gurgone and Seth Gurgone of Wilson and Makayla Grace Finch of Nashville; two sisters, Kathleen Owens and Claudia Goff of Walstonburg, both of whom were paramount in caring for her during her last illness; one brother, Austin Newcombe and wife, Ruby, of Wilson, and a host of extended family and friends. Memorials are suggested to Wildwood Free Will Baptist Church, PO Box 3323, Wilson NC 27895. The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday, 7 - 9 PM.
