Leon Mooring

Leon V. Mooring, 84, CM/Sgt, USAF, Retired, of Fremont, died Monday, January 6, 2020.

Funeral, Thursday, 2:00 PM, Fremont United Methodist Church.  The visitation will be at the church, Wednesday, 6:30 - 8:30 PM.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery with Military Rites.

Mr. Mooring was preceded in death by his wife Ebbie Turlington Mooring and parents, Paul and Louise Chase Mooring of Eureka.  He retired from the Air Force, having served in Vietnam, and BB&T Security.  He was currently active in the Fremont Rotary Club and serving on the Town Board of Alderman.

He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Horne of Rosewood; sons, Oscar Terry Mooring (Tamara) of Fremont and Riverside, CA, Michael Mooring (Karen) of Chesapeake, VA and Troy Mooring (partner, Ron) of Lawrenceville, GA; nine  grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne Mooring (Mina) of Waco, TX.
