ELM CITY - Larry James Summerlin, 60, died Sunday, February 4, 2018.
Funeral, Tuesday, 7:00 PM, Oak Grove FWB Church, followed by visitation. Interment, Wednesday, 11:00 AM, Cedar Grove Cemetery, Elm City.
Larry was the owner of Thomas’ Used Cars and better known for his 47 years with the Oak Grove Boys – a gospel singing group originating from his home church – Oak Grove FWB of Elm City.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sandra Greene Summerlin; son, Eric Summerlin (Hunter) of Elm City; daughters, Cristal Greene (Todd) of Nashville and Heather Jackson (Andrew) of Elm City; grandchildren, Sam, Seth and Abbi Greene, Lucas, Kellan, Phoebe and Beatrice Summerlin and Emma James Jackson; brothers, Roger Summerlin (Tammy) and Mike Summerlin (Lisa) all of Elm City and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lula Leigh Gardner Summerlin and a brother, Ray Summerlin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove FWB Church, 5921 Bridgersville Rd, Elm City, NC 27822.
