Kenneth Exum Matthews, 86, of Wilson, died Saturday, December 21, 2024,

Funeral, Thursday, 6:00 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service followed by visitation.  Interment, Friday, 11:00 AM, at Evergreen Memorial Park. 

He was retired from Standard Commercial Tobacco Company.

Mr. Matthews was born in Johnston County to the late Herman and Dolly Hooks Matthews on May 21, 1938. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Eloise Galloway.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte Batts Matthews; son, Kenny Matthews and wife, Nancy Jones Matthews; granddaughter, Megan Cooke and husband, Brian; great-granddaughter, Adilyn Grace Cooke; great-grandson, Sawyer Thomas Cooke; nephew, Jimmy Galloway; nieces, Patricia Wilkins and Debra Mills; several great-nieces and nephews.
