Kelly Rackley Thompson Hardison, 78, died Tuesday. She was a retired elementary school teacher with the Wilson County Schools having taught 29 years. Mrs. Hardison was an avid bridge player and she loved the beach. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gaston, R.J., Norwood, and Sanford "Tamp" Rackley. Funeral, Friday, 11:00 AM, Evergreen Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Kristen Williams. Surviving: daughters, Claudia Talton of the home and Gloria Whitehead (David) of Cary: grandsons, John and Ross Whitehead of Cary: brother, G.W. Rackley of Clinton: sisters-in-law, Doris Rackley, Patty Rackley, and Peggy Rackley of Clinton, and Tina Rackley of Salemburg: special friends of the family, Ray Mercer and Brenda Massey of Wilson. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Thursday, 7-8:30 and other times at 2003 Wentworth Avenue, NW.
